A little Kali and Peppers for taste

Peppers, Kali's best friend ever ('BFF' when they chat online), brings joy to everyone within licking distance. Kali and the kids miss seeing her, playing with her and tormenting her on a daily basis. As for me, I miss my little dash of Peppers to spice up my day too, but I miss her caring companion Victoria more. Her laughter at my stupid little comments always made my day. Of course she's way funnier than I and I miss the way she gave me a good laugh almost every day that I was lucky enough to trap her in the elevator. Guess I'll just have to groom the children into becoming stand-up comics earlier than I'd accounted for. Four-year-old stand up? You ask? Happens every day in OUR household and it's great!

Venice Beach Last (for a while) Hurrah

I had a vision of taking pictures of the kids at this graffiti spot in Venice for ages. Ben would wear board shorts and Zoe would wear my favorite pink tutu pants with no shirt and a shell necklace. But the weather was never right or their moods weren't right and then Zoe started refusing to wear the tutu pants and then she grew out of them entirely. And then it was two days before moving day and I realized I still hadn't taken the photos. The weather still wasn't right and the kids were in a bad mood from all the packing. But I was determined to get something, anything at this spot. Despite all the aforementioned problems and despite the fact that this was not my vision I still couldn't edit down the pics to post here. So sorry for the exorbitant number of photos, including redundant photos where I couldn't figure out the 'better' one.
