Christmas Fun... or else
In trying to create a picturesque holiday scene, only Zoe was willing to play along. And even she had a limit as her smile slowly waned. Ben, bless his heart, TRIED to smile but it looked like it was literally hurting him to force his lips upward appropriately at the corners. Finally I gave him the promised cookie and he vanished from my poorly planned scheme to get the perfect holiday picture. I was left with only Zoe and Kali. And Kali only stayed because for once she was getting some attention. Zoe stayed because she is just that way, so freaking happy all the time (despite Ben's abuse... I really hope this doesn't lead to a girl with an abusive boyfriend who smiles through the pain), although to her credit, she was unable to crawl away (pictures taken last week).
NOTE: Today ZOE took her first legitimate crawling steps and has become quite adept at getting to where she wants to go any way she can!!

Holiday Party gone bust
Ben's annual Pre-school Holiday party was held at an indoor playground nearby. We all had fun eating pizza, talking to the other parents and getting goody bags... while Ben was busy getting beaten up by an older kid. Yeah, we were shocked and appalled too. Poor Ben. I wanted to beat the older kid up myself, but Ben held his own. Now he's studying with Mr. Miagi and we expect big things.

Can We Keep Him Mama? Can We?!
Who let that reindeer in our house? Well, he's so cute we've decided to keep him and shelter him away from that animal cruelty specialist, Santa Claus who works those poor reindeer to the bone all night while he sits back in the sleigh sipping hot cocoa and snarfing cookies. That said, we'll still gladly accept any and all presents though Santa. Thanks!

First Bath Together
When Ben asked if he could take a bath with Zoe I thought, how sweet. What a great idea. And then I realized what he really meant was a blood bath as he tried to hug her passionately... under the water. His attempts to remove her from the family are getting more sophisticated. Perhaps all rehearsal for when he aims for more advanced pray... like his own mother.

Ridiculously happy

I have no idea how she got this happy. She's not getting any Prozac through MY milk. Maybe a crazy wet nurse fairy comes in in the the night to give her laced milk. That would explain why she all of a sudden started sleeping 11-12 hours straight at night. That, and the fact that I decided she didn't need me anymore in the night. What?! Hell's Bells. Look at her for goodness sakes. She's still this happy even after I put the ixnay on night feedings. And now she sleeps better than ever. Yeah for the crazy wet nurse fairy! And now Baby Zee is also even happier than ever... if that's even possible.
