Kamakazeeeee!

You can't see it here, but Zoe was trying to throw herself to the floor when I took these pictures. Guess Steve smelled pretty bad because she was ready to risk her own life to get away from him.

Tummy Time

Sure, she's ALWAYS this happy with tummy time.

Lunch!

Not much actual eating goes on at lunch time around here. Since hair cannot ingest food (very little actually gets into Zoe's mouth) and since all-liquid-diets are not okay for 2 year olds, we're losing the food fight with the future generation. Perhaps my yelling FOOOOOD FIIIIIIGHT every time we sit down to eat isn't setting a very good example.

Happy Birthday to Me

Thanks to everyone for making my birthday so special. You really know how to make a girl feel like she's not getting any younger and that's sweet.

A Spider Hunting We Will Go

Ben likes to go spider hunting. We humanely 'shoot' the spiders with my camera. And then Ben breaks their webs and stomps on them. :) JK

I Vant to Suck Your Blooooood

Come close my child. Closer. Closer still. Even closer. CHOMP! Ah, yesss. So sweet you are. The nectar of life.

Stubble Trouble

Zoe averts one of many kisses that shady characters will attempt on her in her life. This one comes from her own father, who has skin that is, shall we say, less than baby soft.

Suspect 46890

If this face doesn't say 'innocent,' I don't know what does.

Douglas Dangler

The Douglas Dangler. Otherwise known as the Johnny Jump Up by other babies, this contraption never inspired much jumping by Ben either. But then, as we all know, white babies can't jump.

Who Looooooves Baby?

Grandma loooooves Baby

Finger Lickin' Good

I'm a little red flower

Yes, she is just as sweet in person.

Look Out! Shark!!

BEN, a.k.a. the Shark Whisperer.

Solid Man, Solid

Zoe took to her first solid feeding like, well, a baby to bland mushy rice cereal. That is we had to pry her mouth open with a crow bar and force the food into her, yet still she managed to keep most of it from actually getting into her mouth :)

Ben's Ark

We took Ben and Zoe to the Noah's Ark exhibit at the Skirball Cultural Center and they both had tons of fun. Ben, who is exactly 2 and a half now, is all of a sudden VERY 2 and a half, if you know what I mean. As far as Ben was concerned, it was BEN'S Ark, nevermind this Noah character, let alone any of the other kids playing with HIS ark!! He especially loved "making the rain" (probably trying to flood all the other kids out), and loading the animals onto the ship. And we enjoyed watching him, and watching Zoe watch him, and him him him. And, yes, although it's all about him right now, we wouldn't have it any other way. It's nice to see him have such focus and interest and determination about things. In fact, sometimes I think I should take a page out of his book.
