Flowers for mom

Another trip to the Getty Villa inspired Ben to create this beautiful head wreath for mom. Okay I made it myself people. Is it the boring truth that you really want? Or to let your imagination soar envisioning Ben masterfully weaving flowers and myrrh through intricate wiring? He could do it too ya know, if he really wanted. But he doesn't.

Model Practice

Ben in blue always inspires me to take beach pictures. This was a perfect day on Dec. 4, 2006, not too hot, not too cold. So I dragged Ben out to the Beach with my camera and he practiced for his close up.

Santa Claus Festival

Quite a while before Santa was scheduled to show up for Christmas, he graced us with his presence at this festival on Dec. 2nd, 2006. He showed up via helicopter, circling above for a while first and waving out the window. I was worried he might fall out and leave a big red stain... on Ben's psyche forever. But instead Ben just began his ritual of waving and shouting "Helloooo!!!" to every helicopter that went by ever after that. Here we are on the Train with Mrs. Claus who opted to arrive by train instead of helicopter.

Bathtime Again

With all that hair we don't wash it that often, so I took the opportunity to get some pictures in his wet rat state.

Getty Villa

In our search for the perfect new house we decided to check out the Getty Villa. Part of the Getty Trust it's a Mansion in Malibu stylized after a Roman Seaside Villa that houses beautiful works of art. One looks at the newly remodeled place and we both exclaimed, "we'll take it."

Let's do the Zoo

Ben doesn't do lunch. No, when the money people called he says, "let's do the zoo." This always throws 'em for a loop and he ends up always landing a deal.

Another thing he likes to do is silly walk everywhere he goes. You can't see it in the pictures, but if left to his own accord, he doesn't just walk around the zoo, he shuffles rapidly, he bends as far as he can to one side as he walks, he arches his back and sticks his belly out while waddling, or hunches over like a little old man and peers up at you while taking little old man steps. He even found a little twig once and used it as a pretend cane. I hope this faze never ends.

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed Thanksgiving at our house this year. Even took a nice little trip to the beach to work up our appetites. How did we cook AND go on a trip, you ask? As you can see we invited the Turkeys over and they were already well done.

Mr. Clean

Getting clean isn't just a matter of scrubbing behind the ears for Ben. No, he dives in with a passion... dives into the washer and dryer I mean.

Pillow Talk

Apparently, parts of the human body are capable of fully vanishing. How is this magnificent task accomplished? Pillows. Ben can hide any body part under a pillow and be completely certain that you have no idea where it is. It is your job to find the missing body parts and reassemble them on Ben's person. If you must, you can use a flash light to help you search.

Although this ritual isn't really represented by these pictures, that's what we were doing when we took them.
